Christmas / Lighting installers

Sell the Christmas lights your crews have time to install.

A full inbox is only useful when the jobs fit your route, your team and the calendar. Make your campaign as specific as your installation plan.

01Show the kind of property and finish you actually serve.

02Explain installation, maintenance and removal scope.

03Ask for location before promising a date.

Christmas light installation advertising should generate quotes for properties you can serve within your remaining crew schedule. Define the service area and installation scope, show representative work, and ask for location and property details. Promote remaining capacity honestly and stop advertising dates your team can no longer fulfill.

How many more installations can you accept?

Start with the crew calendar before the advertising budget. Booked work, travel, weather disruption and callbacks all use time. A roofline job and a complex commercial installation should not be treated as interchangeable leads.

Fictional capacity worksheet

2 crews × 5 days × 6 working hours = 60 crew-hours
Less 24 booked crew-hours and 12 for travel, weather and callbacks = 24 available crew-hours
At 6 crew-hours per example installation = 4 further installations.

A crew-hour means one whole crew working for one hour. Replace every input with your schedule; this is not an industry productivity estimate.

Group potential work by route and job type. Four suitable jobs near existing appointments may be manageable when four dispersed jobs are not. Keep a person responsible for updating campaign availability as quotes become bookings.

Use language that describes the service and area, such as “Christmas light installation Fresno” or “holiday lighting installer” with a relevant location. These are examples of customer intent, not measured keyword recommendations for your market. Check the actual searches your ads receive.

Separate installation buyers from people researching replacement bulbs, DIY instructions or wholesale supplies when you do not offer those things. Residential and commercial work may need different pages, qualification and lead values. Keep the geography within a route your business can reliably serve.

Search advertising can address an existing service request; social creative can show the finished effect to people still considering it. Decide the role of each channel before splitting a small budget across both. The SEO versus Google Ads guide explains the broader tradeoff.

What should the quote page explain?

State whether you supply the lights, install customer-owned lights, offer maintenance and remove the display. Explain ownership or rental terms using your actual agreement. If height, roof access or property type changes eligibility, say that before a customer spends time requesting the wrong service.

Ask for the service address or ZIP code, property type, desired areas to light and a preferred installation period. Make a photo optional if it helps your estimating process, and explain how to send it securely. A quote request should not imply that a slot is reserved or a final price is confirmed.

The Evergreen Lighting concept uses a welcoming finished home and one prominent quote action. For a real installer, replace this illustrative image with authentic, permission-cleared work wherever possible. Label inspiration images accurately; never present a generated property as a completed client project.

Example enquiry confirmation: “Thanks for the details. We will check your location and requested work before confirming availability and a quote. Your installation date is not reserved yet.”

How do you tell a good lead from a busy inbox?

Record whether each request fits the route, scope and calendar. Then track quotes issued, installations booked and the contribution expected from that work. Cost per enquiry alone can reward a campaign full of unsuitable properties.

For example, a request outside your service area is useful evidence about targeting, but it is not the same as a quote-ready customer. Ask the estimator to record a short reason when a lead does not fit. Use those reasons to adjust the ad and page before assuming the sales team needs more leads.

If you track calls or forms in Google Ads, distinguish those actions from confirmed sales in your own reporting. Google provides several conversion measurement options; choose the ones that match the real customer journey.

What changes when the installation calendar fills up?

Remove expired availability claims and reduce or pause acquisition for full routes. Offer a waitlist only when someone will manage it and clearly state that it is not a booking. Do not keep collecting urgent requests for a service you already know cannot happen before Christmas.

Before the season ends, organize the removal schedule and decide how customers can enquire about the following year. Keep those messages separate from current installation availability. Update business hours if holiday operations change; Google supports special holiday hours.

AMÁRQUEZ can help with local search campaigns, a quote-focused website and reporting that follows suitable enquiries into booked work. Bring your service area, actual photographs and crew schedule to the first conversation.
